Topaz Willis smiled down at the possible District 2 tributes of the 94th 'Games. She got right down to business, taking the microphone in her hand instead of leaving it on the stand. "Happy Hunger Games!" she shrieked; her voice was never anything but a shriek, and although it had been silent before, it was even more so now. Back in the older Reapings, before they'd begun anew, children were afraid. Now they all looked bored and unsatisfied.

The children--or rather, the people from ages 12 until 19, all stood in neat lines, with a large velvet rope keeping the boys and girls seperated with a walkway between the two. Each looked at Tourmaline Jones, some with confidence, others with fear, and most with absolute and complete boredom.

"And may the odds....be ever in your favor." she shrieked again with a smile, adjusting her rainbow tower of a wig. "Ladies first!" she then declared, reaching the bowl and digging around for a bit before selecting a name and opening it. "Ellesmere Wu!"

The girl stepped forward, moving towards the aisle in between the separated genders. As she reached the stage, she shied away from the cameras pointed in her face, hiding her face behind her dark black hair. "Any volunteers?" Topaz called, but silence greeted her. She shrugged her overdressed shoulders, bright in color, and moved to the boys' bowl.

"Logan Baker!" she shrieked. Logan walked to the stage with a pair of crutches--he had been paralyzed from the waist down and was undergoing treatment from District 12 doctors, but still had a difficult time walking. He arrived at the stage, refusing the assistance of the Peacekeepers, and looked at the cameras with a bored look. Ellesmere and Logan shook hands gently, Ellesmere because she was so delicate, and Logan because he didn't have much strength left after the walk up the stage.

"Let's give a round of applause for the District 1 tributes of the 94TH ANNUAL HUNGER GAMES!" she shrieked.
