Full Name: Abay Safa
Gender: Male
Age: 16
District: 8
Position: Student
Personality: Abay is a distant sort of person. He listens without really listening, and he only talks when has a question or is genuinely interested. He likes his alone time, and prefers to stay away from people. His friends are usually people who enjoy mutual silence and can handle being friends without talking much. Abay has a hard time listening to others and making friends. He doesn't enjoy it at all.
Abilities: Handy with technology, a quick reader, and a good spearman. His technology craze came from observing the factory his mother worked at. He began to analyze the various gears and machinations and gained a rudimentary knowledge of simple machines which has allowed him to create little projects with flawed, broken, or old materials. He got a spear from his mother which she said once belonged to his father. He practiced it because of his curiosity about his father. He has a pretty good arm thanks to it.
::Appearance:: Abay has shaggy hair that grows in curls. He has dark eyes and a toasty skin color most likely due to Indian descent. He has a bit of a large mouth, but it's usually closed. He prefers boring clothes that are comfortable and doesn't care if they are appealing to other people. His shoes are humongous, black leather boots that look much too big for his slim frame. He wears them wherever he goes.
Height: 5'10"
Weight: 140
Eyes: Black
Hair: Black
History: Abay's mother, Sabri Safa is a kind and gentle soul, who keeps out of gossip and the business of others. She imbibed a sort of distance keeping onto her son, but he never got the sweetness she had. She listens to people without interrupting, but Abay thought that it meant she wasn't listening. He took on this misinterpreted trait as his own.
His father is someone who Abay hasn't been told much about. All he knows is that his father is dead and since Abay doesn't remember anything about him, he doesn't mind much. He's often curious about what he was like though.
Abay grew up in the dull District 8, his mother working in the textile factory day in and day out. Abay's schooling went okay; he got average grades and in a dead end place like this, it didn't matter much. His mother gave him a spear one year and said it used to be his father's and because of this little connection associated with it, Abay practiced with it often. He took up reading at a young age and often read books during class instead of paying attention. He often hung out in the factory that his mother worked at when he was young because she wouldn't get home until the nightime. There was a nursery there, but Abay always found a way out. He was fascinated with the machinery and sat and watched it run for long periods of time. The Hunger Games were never watched in his household, but he heard others talking about it in school constantly and knew all of the basics about it. He never even thought about being picked.
****Sample RP: Abay wondered where the others were as he sat under a maple tree. The beginning of the games had been eventful, but Abay had ran instead of watching. He was worried about dying and decided he'd try the waiting game to win instead of the killing game. He'd heard that natural causes took out most of the contestants, so maybe he could survive the longest. Following this line of thought, he decided he'd need food and water before long and so he got up in search of that. The day dripped by and every slight noise made Abay jump. Each one could have been death. (Kind of phoned this Sample RP in, sorry.
