Personality: Matthew is always calm and collected in any situation, he has always had keen mind and can adapt very quickly to his surroundings. He is friendly more often than not, but can be particularly harsh when he needs to be. He is excited by challenges, and never backs down from something difficult, whether it is a mental or physical trial. He will always push himself to the limits, if it will sufficiently test him. He is also extremely competitive, and very confident in himself. It was these traits that helped him win the Hunger Games and become a mentor.

Abilities: Matthew is a very quick thinker and gets himself out of trouble with unique and creative ideas. He is physically very fit and healthy and his fighting skills are average. He prefers out thinking his opponents over fighting head on. He can develop large complicated plans, and seems to know how people will act or respond. His reflexes are also very fast and he has a knack for survival.

Matthew has very short brown hair, and stubble. His face is warm and kind, and he smiles often, though people can see that he has had hardships. He body is lean and very athletic, as a result from vigorous physical training. He is also quite tall and dresses casually. His eyes are brown and always aware; they are continually moving and surveying his surroundings.

History: Being born in district 12, Matthew had a tough time growing up. He got by however using skill and ingenuity. He always was a quick study and he always thought ahead. This made him better off than many of the other kids around him. He had both his parents and no siblings growing up, and his parents just basically left him do his own thing, so he wasn’t very close to them. He didn’t really feel bad about it though, and he was generally an optimist about everything.

Matthew loved anything that challenged him either mentally or physically and he pushed himself continually to better himself. He became very competitive and headstrong and always compared himself to others.

When he was 18, he was selected to participate in the Hunger Games, which he won due to his quick thinking and knack for survival. He thrived in the pressure and outlasted his opponents, he didn’t fight anyone one-on-one. Instead he set traps, lured the other tributes into danger, and even got a few tributes to turn on each other. After he one he moved to his districts Victor’s Village, and mentoring tributes to win has become his new challenge
